Baby gets a new room

     Since I have been closed for a few weeks so I can move the Items out of the back room I now wish to excite you with the up and coming new room:  Baby's New room.

     There use to be a baby room in the store but we closed it and down sized the store.  But with all people asking for a larger gathering of things for baby I have begun to work on the room once again. It will take some time before the room will be open. But it should be before the end of Summer.  I will be painting and fixing the floors so they will look sooooo much better.  There will be an announcement of the opening of the room both in here and in the store front window. Time is hopping down to the baskets.

     It seems like just yesterday that we started April. But it has gotten soo close to Easter that the Easter Bunny has been a little slow.  But there is still time to hop into the shop or on to the web site: www.NannyGoatCrafts.Etsy.com .  To help the bunny get the goodies for everyone on your Easter list.

The Easter flowers have started to bloom

Yes it is true that the flowers have started to bloom. But if old man Winter has his way he will hit them again with snow and cold air.
Today we had both rain and snow. The snow did stick so I am glad of that. I am in hopes that Spring has come along this week. I have been having the urge to do some flowers on many an item for both home and family. I have two new aprons and working on a few dresser scarfs. The flowers on the scarfs are Hydrangea's. Which are of the blues and purples. I am hoping that soon I will have them finished so I can put up pictures of them for all to see.

Here is a picture of the Apron that is now for sale and the picture about it is the new MOM cup for Mothers day.  More pictures to come.

It has been along hard Winter

Hi Folks,

What a Winter we have had!!  And now it is Spring and the clocks have been turned up an hour, but still we have the cold temps and snow here in Maryland.  They say we are to get warmer by the weekend. I saw and heard 60s!!!That sure would be very nice.

But the Nanny Goat has been busy working on a lot of new things. I have gotten my sewing room now fixed up and there is a heater in there so I can use the sewing machine. The room was my sons old bedroom, but he is living in New York, so it has been nice working in there.  I have plans for some nice sun dresses for children as well as ladies. Some new counted cross stitch items like a apple pie with apples guest towel and primitive shelf patterned guest towel. A nice white apron with Spring flowers on the bib is almost finished.

Along with the hand made things The goat barn will have a few things in it that have come from my Antique and yard sailing. Right now there is a set of 7 rolly pollies glass wear with silver ring around the middle. They are ready to go for $21.00 and shipping of $10.

The site was down for a wee bit because of the computer having problems, but we area back.  Just stop back to see if there is anything new each week.

Things Are Changing Around Here

     The air has been cold and we have had a frost.  The leaves are turning on my tree outside of my bay window.  I have a 3 yr. old Maple that I have been babying now for 4 winters.  In return I have been seeing reds, golds and greens.

This week we will see Halloween come in on Thursday eve. the weather is to be raining. Sorry kids! But we here in downtown Frederick wont be having Trick or Treats. This was band a long time ago because kid were getting hurt.

But in the Nanny Goat Crafts I have some really nice things for the season to give and to receive. I have Pumpkin hats for the whole family. A lovely pumpkin pocketbook for the young at heart ladies to use for a Fall outing. Kids there are a few tee shirts and for the babies there are a few onesies with crows and kitties and pumpkins on them.

For the Cats and the Dog we have: pumpkin catnip toys and the pumpkin shaped Peanut butter and oats treats. Now what is that outside a witch??

Cookies with sugars on them for the treats are here too!

So I say have fun this Halloween BUT take care.  And don't eat any unwrapped candy.

Ahh Fall

Well the time has come to put out your Fall sweaters and caps and start taking country walks.  The leaves have just started to change here in the Frederick area. We are still having warm days but the nights have cooled down some.  

I have been working on a lot of colors in beanie caps. Mostly in acrylic yarns in lovely shades of blue. Some are even wool with flakes of red, green, yellow and white. Then I have added pom  poms. I have found a few buttons that have a Fall look to them as well as Christmas. These I have added to the band of the caps.

As the weather changes I am sure these caps, mittens and scarfs will be a wonderful addition to every ones
wardrobe. If you go pumpkin picking or for the Fall festivals the added warmth will be welcomed.
